This past Sunday we got to experience yet another big milestone in Zion’s life:  his first baby tooth fell out!  Around a month ago his two central incisor adult teeth grew in behind his baby teeth (aka “shark teeth”), and then soon after those two little teeth got very loose, so we knew the day was coming. 

I tried to pull it out myself, but I kind of chickened out at the last minute, I’ll admit it!  I called on my sister, Susanna, who is a dental assistant, to come get the job done for me.

Zion is so proud of himself and feeling very “mature” now.  He told me last night that “strange things are happening to me, Mom!”, he even claims he has his first hair growing on his chin ;-) 

I have to say, I got a little misty-eyed when I checked back in his baby book and saw that this was the first tooth that ever popped through, on September 23, 2007.  Where does the time go??
